Two-Cylinder Expo XX NATIONAL CATTLE CONGRESS GROUNDS • WATERLOO, IOWA • JUNE 17–19, 2010
50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF THE TWO-CYLINDER ERA
50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE INTRODUCTION OF THE NEW GENERATION
100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NATIONAL CATTLE CONGRESS
The annual Expo has become known worldwide as the premier event of its type.Over
the years, it has stayed on a steady path of simply featuring a superb selection of the
best-restored vintage John Deere Tractors and Implements seen anywhere.
Numbers are not the focus of these events, nor are physical activities. The Expos are
relatively quiet shows; participants and attendees value the opportunity to enjoy fellowship,
conversation, and relaxation.
The National Cattle Congress facilities have the capacity to house nearly all exhibits
indoors. Exhibitors that prefer to be outdoors have their choice of location on turf.
Primarily, the Expo features finely restored exhibits. However, each year a number of
unrestored tractors in extraordinary condition are accepted. In most instances, these
are extraordinarily excellent tractors, but some allowance is also provided for a small
number of “basket cases.”This is for the purpose of making it possible for visitors to
see and understand to what degree some restorers have to go to retrieve a tractor
from the brink of becoming scrap.
A top-notch Swap Meet is also part of the Expo. Countless thousands of tractor parts,
as well as complete tractors and implements, literature, memorabilia, toys, and repair
services will be available right here!
For Expo XX, the Two-Cylinder Club will again be featuring a tractor auction, and
arrangements have been made to have the foremost event of its kind on Saturday,
June 19. Heartland Auctions, with Dennis Polk as auctioneer and Jeff McManus
coordinating the activities, will be adding a great deal of excitement to the day. They
will be taking consignments from across the country, including from exhibitors who
may wish to finance a new project by selling a tractor they have on display at the
Expo. See page 39 for additional information.
Persons interested in being an Exhibitor or Swap Meet Vendor are invited to contact
the Two-Cylinder Club office for applications. Applications will be available after
December 1, 2009.
